As many readers know, I love talking to different entrepreneurs from all walks of life. Ali Mayar, currently the CEO of Platinum Rapid Funding Group, has been working hard over the last few years since I first met him. He has turned his company into one of the best solutions out there for people who need money to reach business goals.
He recently took some time out of his day to answer some questions about being an entrepreneur in today’s world. He was very open about the good and the bad, which can be beneficial for any entrepreneur out there reading.
When did you first know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
I can’t pinpoint a time in my life where I specifically said I wanted to be an entrepreneur, but my work experience led to that. I have worked in the past for others, but it just wasn’t something I really enjoyed all that much. I wanted to run my own company, and take the good and the bad with all of that. That eventually led to being the CEO of Platinum Rapid Funding Group, and I am overall very happy with my decision.
You mentioned the good and the bad with being an entrepreneur. Can you expand on that a little?
I think every entrepreneur realizes that once they fully commit, this is no longer going to be a 40 hours per week job. There are times in which I work 80 hours per week. I definitely have made sacrifices to get my business to where it is today. You truly have to have a passion for something in order to be a great entrepreneur.
Now, there are some positives to being an entrepreneur, and that includes not having to answer to many people. It also allows you to pursue something you truly enjoy, and the sky is the limit for earning potential as well.
What’s it like being an entrepreneur, helping out other entrepreneurs?
This is the perfect field for me to be in. I identify with so many different clients we have, because they are trying to launch their business and reach new heights. It can sometimes be very difficult to get the money needed for a business to really get off the ground. If we can make life just a little bit easier, we have done our job.
Do you think people are willing to take more risks in today’s world as entrepreneurs?
I definitely think people are realizing that there are many different opportunities out there to pursue. If you don’t want to slave away and work for someone, there are ways to get out of that rat race. Find what you are passionate in, and work from there.
